“Citizenship and Rule of Law” Project

ANHRE in partnership with SKY-High and Jordan days TV implemented a 6 month project, between the period from August 2011 to January 2012 on "Media & Civil Society Co-Production Fund 2012 on citizenship and rule of Law" funded by Jordan Civil Society Program.

 

The project included development and release of 5 documentaries and 3 debates on citizenship and rule of law "on the following subjects"

- Citizenship: The definition of citizenship and its relation with civil, political, cultural, social and economical rights.

 

ANHRE prepared as well a paper on political rights in Jordan in connection with election.

- The Categories that do not hold Jordanian nationality

A- Displaced non-Jordanians people, who have been displaced from the Gaza Strip to Jordan

B- Bedouins who do not have official documents proving their legal personality in Badia "stateless"

c- Children of Jordanian mothers.

- Jordan’s Disengagement Decision and nationality Withdrawal.

 

The project shed the light on the above mentioned critical problems and issues. And mainstreamed the documentaries, videos and seminars on all social media to open discussion for public and youth, and uploaded them in the Youtube and in all the well-known social websites in Jordan.
